Now, we tread into the era of Imam Jafar al Sadiq, the Sixth Imam. In his own respect, he was born in 702 AD and regarded as a prominent Islamic Scholar. He has contributed, out of all the Imams, the most scientifical knowledge. He was a polymath, to say the least.

I've compiled this from the thread "The Shia and the Sunni". Most of the things here are already in that thread but I would update it when I've had the time Widely misunderstood as being the "Catholic vs Protestant" of Islam (in some cases), often judged by sectarianism.
