Week in history, overdone?

Posted April 30th, 2012 at 06:31 AM by Silverangel

I have started doing a post on "This week in History." I wanted to do a news letter type post with just little bits of information. It tryed out to take a lot more time and details then I wanted. So I cut it down to just a couple of important, to me, events.

But now I wonder, has this concept been over done. Maybe I should just put up some good links, and leave it at that.
What do you think, would you read yet another blog post about the dates...

Tombstone of old had five newspapers, and as you can imagine, there were many stories highlighting the shootouts in that wild west town.

On Nov. 14 1882 Buckskin Frank Leslie and Billy Claiborne had a fight outside the saloon

From the Tombstone Epitaph:

Frank Leslie: "I was talking with some friends in the Oriental Saloon when Claiborne pushed his way in among us and began using very insulting language. I took him to one side and said, "Billy,...

Posted April 27th, 2012 at 06:09 AM by pgraven

Hello Folks,

For my Philosophy class I'm discussing the great pyramids and analyzing epistemological questions. Some of the questions i am attempting to reason for are how were the blocks transported, how were the blocks cut to be essentially perfect (no block was more than 8 inches different than another), and who and how many did it take to construct these master pieces? As of now, i have that the blocks were transported down the Nile River by having 2 barges with a raft in between...

Question of the week: Who were the Vikings?

Posted April 26th, 2012 at 05:37 AM by Silverangel

I have been working on the blog post, http://silverangel2011.wordpress.com...e-the-vikings/, and I just can't figure out what kind of information I need.

I want more than just stating the obvious. I think I have found some really good stuff.

Please look at it and tell me what you think.

I have to say I didn't learn a whole look more than I already know on the subject. I have been fascinated with the Norse people and their religion...

Crusades Threads

Posted April 23rd, 2012 at 12:08 PM by DreamWeaver

So as some may have noticed over the past few weeks I have made an effort of posts detailing some of the crusading ventures that occurred in the Middle Ages. I have limited myself thus far to most of the minor ones, partly because they also happen to be ones less commonly known about and so might prove quite interesting, but also because writing a post for some of the large and better known ones will take a considerable amount of time. Time I dont necessarily have currently. Life and all that jazz....
