The six waded to the boat anchored just before the black spikes penetrating the water, and climbed aboard by a rope ladder thrown down by the passengers. “What was that?” Cedric said, once they were safely on board.

“It looked like some sort of bomb or something,” Ariel suggested.

“Whatever it was, I'm glad that Flare gave me one. How did he get them, anyway?” Cedric wondered....

Cedric woke much later than he usually did. He noticed that food had already been brought up to his chamber. He got out of bed, dressed in his usual red and gold armor, and ate the food that Lord Thane had delivered. As he was eating, he heard several knocks on his door.

“Rise and shine, sleepyhead!” Oliver's voice called through the door.

“I’m up, I’m up! Let me eat, alright?”...

Well... it's about 20,000 words, and that's as far as I got. I wrote this in 7th grade. It's not that bad actually. Here you go.

Our Very Distant Sun


Many persons don't appreciate just how tremendously distant our Sun really is because it can be so blistering hot on summer days and it seems so prominent in our sky. But in reality, what seems to be a fairly nearby sun is actually an almost unimaginably enormous distance away. Here are some examples to illustrate just how distant our sun really is.

The Sun is approximately 93,000,000 miles (150,000,000 km) or 1 AU (Astronomical unit)...
