Crusades Threads

So as some may have noticed over the past few weeks I have made an effort of posts detailing some of the crusading ventures that occurred in the Middle Ages. I have limited myself thus far to most of the minor ones, partly because they also happen to be ones less commonly known about and so might prove quite interesting, but also because writing a post for some of the large and better known ones will take a considerable amount of time. Time I dont necessarily have currently. Life and all that jazz....

John France - Perilous Glory - A Review

Perilous Glory was anything but a perilous read, it was rather the opposite, quite addicitve. John France has written a very engaging and easy going account of warfare across the world since the year dot. Certainly no easy task to accomplish, and to do so, rather well in only a single volume. One might very well expect such a topic to stretch into a multi volume series to do the breadth and variance of humanity and geography justice. Having been somewhat inspired by Sperro and his work on the Wars of the Roses (well done there sir) should I post a series of threads in a similar fashion on the Crusades? Since that is my schtik and all.
