Horrible Histories: TV Show Review

Posted July 7th, 2016 at 03:11 PM by HistoricalGeek

Note: This is the ‘live action’ Horrible Histories, not the animated thing we had for a while…. Just to be clear.

Now, let’s see… the general work on the show is beautiful of course. The research is well done and the actors they use are clearly both skilled and passionate about history. The key thing here is how it makes history fun… I’d say it does that. I’ll let the actual ten year old I babysit tell you more:

Actual Ten year old’s view:

I love this show. Never been into history and always found it boring…. Not anymore.
Thank you horrible histories.

HH was what got me into history. The song "The King of Bling" created this monster.

HH was also partly to blame for my addiction I think, well, the first time around at least... the second time it was all on Bettany Hughes.

Loved the show though, I keep re-watching it on Netflix when I'm too tired to focus on 'real' History.
