The Great Pyramids

Hello Folks,
For my Philosophy class I'm discussing the great pyramids and analyzing epistemological questions. Some of the questions i am attempting to reason for are how were the blocks transported, how were the blocks cut to be essentially perfect (no block was more than 8 inches different than another), and who and how many did it take to construct these master pieces? As of now, i have that the blocks were transported down the Nile River by having 2 barges with a raft in between where the block will lie. The barge was steered by big stones attached by rope coming off each barge where the ropes would either be pulled in or let out to steer, which is said to be equivalent to a modern day rudder. I have also come to the conclusion that it was not build by aliens as many theories suggest, but rather 20,000-30,000 Egyptians, I've come to this because there have been remains excavated that were found to be local villages around the Great Pyramids, specifically Khufu.
If anybody has any feedback to give me on this topic it would be greatly appreciated!
