Economy of Ancient China and Ancient Greece

Takeshi Amemiya is noted for being a historian of the ancient Greek economy, and his sources (Economy and Economics in Ancient Greece) were used even in this forum to spout Greek exceptionalism. But he had also written a comparison between ancient China and ancient Greek economy to show that similar economic developments also occurred in the ancient Far East. The following is a summary of his conclusions comparing Han dynasty China to ancient Athens.
