There is an extensive collection of minerals, ore deposits, valuable and semi-valuable stones in the Natural history Museum. There are even asteroid pieces, rocks from Mars and from the Moon.


Here is a Uranium deposits from Cornwall, where the mineral was mined from 1873 to 1903.

The Natural History Museum is an amazing place. It encompasses the natural history of our planet from the creation of our solar system to the present, explaining how it was created, the natural forces that shaped it, how life appeared, evolved, and affected it. Charles Darwin, who's statue oversees the museum's central hall, would have been very proud of it.

As with many other museums in London, this one is also particularly concerned with educating its visitors through fun and interaction....

The British Museum is the most exciting museum in London, a breathtaking journey through the history of mankind. Wing after wing, it holds priceless treasures from around the globe, and many of the civilisations developed by mankind are represented in its halls. It is impossible to admire its exhibits in a single day; I browsed only some of its Egyptian, Assyrian, and Greek sections.

Greenwich is a suburb of London with great maritime history, and a World Heritage Site.
The Cutty Sark is also docked there, one of the most beautiful vessels ever built, but it is still under repair and I was unable to admire it.

Greenwich is where the Royal Observatory is located, famous as the site of the Prime Meridian and the defining point of the Mean Time.
A line that runs through its yard separates the globe into Western and Eastern Hemispheres, and it was funny...
