Working in Business with a History Degree

I'm currently seriously considering switching to a History degree in my college, and then look for jobs in the business world. What steps would I need to take to be successful? Should I get an internship in a historical themed business like a museum? Should I get an MBA after a few years of work?

All thoughts and comments are appreciated. I'm in quite a runt in college right now, and your advice probably means more than you think.

Any relevant business coursework you do should count in your favor. I got a MA in history and went to work for a major insurance company as a auto accident claims handler. History courses taught me how to reconstruct events and make a statement about what happened.

But a clue: The company took my word for the degree, they never asked to see the sheep skin. YMMV
