All of these, except London and Berlin are ambitions. In no particular order.

London

Rome
Athens.
The rest of Europe.

I REALLY want to see the Czech Republic, especially PRAGUE. ALSO Istanbul, Also Andalusia.

Alreadybeen to:

London (my favourite city)

Paris (most beautiful and romantic)

Rome (prefer Florence and Venice)

Athens: Prefer Delphi.

Dublin;what can I say, HOME OF GUINNESS!!!

There are also some wonderful cites and ancient cultures throughout SE Asia.I've spent more time there because it's closer than Europe..

In whichever country you end up, get a car/bike and drive around a bit. There's something about a beautiful historical site in a sleepy village that you have all by yourself. History is scattered all around the continent. So you're bound to bump into some whichever direction you travel.

But if you have only limited time: fly into Paris, take the train to Brussels, visit one of the Flemish trade cities Bruges (biggest city north of the alps in medieval times)/Ghent(more lively student town)/Antwerp(Rubens) and then head up to Amsterdam (or London if you prefer). All these cities are less than two hours apart, and I think they offer a good intro for someone interested in 13th - 19th European History. Off course you'll have to come back for Italy, Russia, Poland, Scandinavia,...
