Post-Mohacs Hungary

Does anybody know any detailed narrative of events in Hungary right after the Mohacs battle (ending of 1526 and the first half of 1527) in English or German? French is welcome as well.

Perhaps "The Fall of the Medieval Kingdom of Hungary: Mohacs 1526-Buda 1541" by Geza Perjes would suit you.

It has barely anything about the period I'm asking about, but thanks.

Oh sorry, I didn't see the text in the brackets. I thought you meant post-Mohacs Hungary in general.

I have found another book, though I am not sure if this one will be detailed enough for you: Geza Pallfy: The Kingdom of Hungary and the Habsburg Monarchy in the 16th century.

It's not detailed at all and I've abandoned researching this long time ago, but thanks for your effort.

Yeah, I know. No one even mentions Jovan Nenad and his role in the mess that was post-Mohacs Hungary. Perhaps I can try to find something in Hungarian, but I can't speak a word of that language, so that would be a problem.

I would recommend the work of Wilhelm Andreas Baumgärtner

It is about Transsylvania not Hungary but with an very good overview of Hungary.

Looks promising, I'll surely take a look if I return to that period. Thanks.
