You can't. I was able to, because the video was working for me.

Something wrong with my rather old PC-- works on my phone -- same in work, which again are rather old.

Check to see if you have all the updates. I don't know which ones are relevant, because most of my stuff updates automatically. It used to be Adobe Flash Player.

I used to use a very old computer (I still have it and it still works). YouTube was the thing I had the most troubles with (including sometimes failing to play embedded videos, but I was able to play them on YouTube).

In case nothing works, I have one more suggestion.

Try to see if you can right click on it and copy video url.

I don't remember if it worked when I had similar issues.

@OP: Congrats for the video!

It's easy to follow, nicely paced and with a nice use of info, quotes and pictures. It's good that you explain the terms you're using.

I subscribed and liked the video.

Thanks so much!

The plan is that I'll start pushing it more once I have 5 or 6 videos up. On reddit etc. Any ideas where I could find a decent sized history community to promote this?

I forgot to mention that the audio quality is good.

You're welcome!

This is the only one I'm a part of.

There should be some big history communities on reddit.

You can try to find big Irish communities (not just on reddit) that have multiple interests, including Irish history.

You can use the AskHistorians subreddit if you have any questions on the subject.

Use hashtags to promote it on social media. Also, if you catch some big account on twitter (for example) mentioning something related to your subject, you can reply with one of your videos. You might get lucky and get a retweet from someone with a large audience.

You could diversify your mediums. You can use soundcloud or some other site to also have this as a podcast and just upload the audio. History podcats are rather big (so are history videos on YouTube).
