Home Rule was forced on Northern Ireland ?

The offer of Dominion Status with the possibility of a Republic should have been offered to Redman in the beginning if they allowed partition for the North. But that was never on the table. I would even tear him a new one if he turned that down.

Dominion status was a gradual thing, it would have been granted in stages as it was with the other countries. Irish Nationalists were not to be trusted as our Kiwi, Canuck and Aussie cousins were, look at Redmond and his behaviour during the Boer war? If Redmond had just accepted partition (and probably would have in the end) he would have gained a greater degree of Home Rule, just as Michael Collins would be forced to do 10 years and several thousand pointless deaths later.

Perhaps the digging in St Stephen's Greens was just busy work

I actually wondered was it just a way for Mallin to keep the lads busy and distract them a wee bit. But it would have made more sense to occupy the buildings around, no?

I'm looking for some honest feedback if you guys would be willing to help me out. How's the audio quality? My accent? Do I speak clearly enough? I'm playing around right now with audio mixing/getting the most out of my microphone but really I'm not a very technical person and all of this quite new to me :P

Nothing seem to makes sense about this rising, but considering that some of the planner were journalist they would know the value of publicity, and a rising in the city center would get plenty, and plenty it got the rising spent 14 days on the front page of the New York Times.

Since you are asking for comment\criticism and are clearly a perfectionist - here is my comment:

I find that you are moving from one idea to the next too quickly for the information or idea to register in my slow brain. Its not that you should slow down the pace of your delivery but that you need to provide more pauses at the appropriate places to let it all "sink in".

I have no trouble in understanding your accent but I wonder if a non-native English speaker would understand quite so well.

With regard to the latest episode, I thought that reading out the Yeats poem failed - sorry! and most of your audience would have switched off and might not listen to the remainder of your video. As a suggestion, why not flash up the poem but give us a simple voiced precise of Yeats rather than reading it, line by line.

Also I think you need to flip from photo to photo much less. I found it a bit annoying that the same photo would keep popping up - eg a couple of times is quite adequate for Pearse's photo but does not need to be "sinc-ed" with each mention of his name.
