Revolution is one thing, Regicide is another. Nothing can excuse the blatant murder of Christian Kings like Charles I and Louis XVI.

Its a crime when you neglect your own subjects.

I assume here you're referring to Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. Unfortunately, that's not quite true; both participated in secret letters across the borders, conspired in other ways, etc. By all means, warranted, but they were certainly interested in politics - even before the Revolution. Remember that Versailles definitely a political hub, and despite what many say, Louis was still king. He was necessarily bothered by politics (with Marie in the earlier years trying unsuccessfully to enter the political arena too) more relevantly after 1774.

They were very unlucky. There are far worse monarchs that had done a lot more harm to their country's welfare than Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.

Although I am against the executions of both in think Louis XIV achieved more then Louis XVI. Look wat louis XIV achieved on territorial expanding, the fact he made France the number one power in western Europe and the spread of French culture that dominated Europe for more then 200 years.

Not justified.
Especially all innocent people who were killed.

Indeed what a waste when an innocent aristocrat died.

Yup, especially when there are so many pedestrian plebeians ready for being executed...

Their execution was an unfortunate political necessity. Even though she was a prisoner, look at the continual problems Mary Queen of Scots caused Elizabeth I of England.

The same or worse would have happened in France. Alive they would have served as a rallying point for French royalists and there would have been continuous efforts to restore them to the throne. As Marie Antoinette was a Hapsburg there would most likely have been backing from Austria and the other royal houses of Europe as well.
For the success of the revolution they had to die.
