[Help] Flashy European Armors!

By Flashy I meant really "cool" looking in your opinion. I want to design some armor sketches (just for drawing :P) and I wanna make a really cool armor design!!!! So can anyone help me post some good pictures of real armor that looks cool?

Also! I wonder which armor thingie it was that people had wings on their backs? It's such a cool idea!

Please don't beat me if I said anything stupid!!

Do you mean Poland's famous "winged hussars"?

You can read about them on Wikipedia here:

(scroll down to the "winged hussars" subsection.)

MAN those curves on the French Armors are REALLY hard to draw! This is basically what I keep accidently drawing whenever I try to draw the helmets:

those are really awesome designs, the top one is very well decorated, can you tell me if they would have worn that in battle or was it only worn for ceremonies?

I think that the second one (of Francis I) was worn in battle but not the others. The others could be used for ceremonial purposes of for decoration. The first one was gift from one italian state I think. These images all come from the museum of the invalides. The same for this open burgonet :

And there is another one :

A helmet of Henry II of France :

On the other hand, this one was used in battle :

An Italian armor (the italian made great armors, highly efficient) :

ya the last picture is a gothic design and is most associated with the Germans. are the other ones the usual kind of design that would have been seen with french and Italian armour, i like the helmet design, might be wrong on this but i think that's the frog head design or that might be a different helmet i'm thinking of.

would normal knights have had such ornately decorated armour as well?
