The Crusades does come to mind......I shall have to think of anything that may have occurred earlier.
Debates over what does/does not constitute Europe/Europeans will ensue I expect.

First Crusade, I would think.
I don't think the Roman army qualifies as European - there had not yet been a rise of the nation state.

I'm not just being facetious either. Most of the time when there have been grand alliances of "European" nations, it's usually been to fight other European nations. The early Crusades may be regarded as an exception to this but the Crusaders still spent a lot of time at each other's throats.
Even the Fourth Crusade managed to get diverted from its goal of fighting the Muslims into fighting other Christians.

There has absolutely never been anything in which all europeans participated, only groups of a few nationalities or states.
Considering that most modern europeans are actually descendands of the barbarians which invaded the Roman Empire in the 4th to 6th centuries i would propose the so-called "the great migration of peoples" as the very first common action/goal of europeans.
