This site was produced by Scran and has a look at some of the issues surrounding Wallace. It also looks at Braveheart the film and discusses the pros and cons of that movie.

(I had a hand in the making of this site but no longer work there so any spotted errors should be sent to Scran!)

I had a look at the website and it looks very good execpt for a few mistakes that I spotted in it... lol I have emailed a gentleman called Neil Fraser with the mistakes I have spooted so far. I am hoping that after the mistakes have been altered it will make for a good revision tool for myself in my upcoming exams.

Thank you, it was a well thought out web site and some good photographs. There is a place where I have cycled to which is the back end of Falkirk, called California. Its quite high up and you can see for miles along the Forth Valley and I had sometimes pondered if he had stood there once and admired the view as you can see the Wallace Monument down the valley.

Whoa. This thread has been revived?
For the record, i finished the paper and recieved a 12 (the danish equivalent of 'A')
I found it a bit annoying that it has to be so hard starting a topic on this without having people rage over Mel Gibson. We all agree that his portrayal is stylized and immensely wrong often. But thats completely besides the point. If it had been accurate and completely in-line with actual events it would've been hard to write a paper on, wouldn't it?

No it wouldn't have been! If "Braveheart" had in fact been historically correct you could have just watched the film and wrote the whole paper a lot quicker! Seeing how the film is historically incorrect though you had to do a whole load extra research and compare all your facts!
