The Sacrificed for freedom.

Some historians allege, that 13 people was shot by Latvian snipers, who placed on a roof of a building in the vicinity. Testimonies of many people prove it. The sacrifice could have been approved by Latvian renegades, because after the Soviet troops were condemned in this blatant crimes and the USSR forfeited the right to retain the unity of the Soviet cohesion. Who commit this crime? Can such vices be acquitted by a fight for freedom?

When what where? You're being very sketchy with details so it's hard to pinpoint what you are talking about, is this during the collapse of the USSR?

Yeah, it's my fault. I am talking about the January Events. It took a place in Latvia on 13 January 1991. The USSR deployed troops in Vilnius for oppression Latvian renegades, who declared Latvia independent. The troops seized some important building including TV-tower in the capital, but after Soviet military forces abruptly were called off by the USSR government and they retreated. The secessionists won and Latvia became independent. While Soviet troops assaulted the TV-tower, 13 civilians were killed in the vicinity. Soviet Union was denounced and harshly rebuked for that crime. The victims were deified as the baldest fighters for the freedom. Although some modern findings impugn that theory and condemn Latvians nationalists for shooting.

Aftermath Latvia gained independence and touted on The West, that Soviet Union invaded on the territory of the independent state, slaughtered its citizens,so that the leaders of the USSR must be put on a trial. It was too profitable for Latvia.
