remember King George V in 1917 changed the name of his family name "Saxe-Coburg and Gotha" (Germanic name) to "Windsor" because of strong anti-german sentiment in Britian at that time

King William III was Dutch, King George was Hanoverian and Prince Albert who married Queen Victoria was from Saxe-Coburg, so thats three strands of Germanic heritage.

Oh and Edward the VII was married to Alexandra of Tek who was Danish and Prince Phillip is German-Greek in origin.

Any more?

King George I became king of England and unfortunately Britain without speaking a word of English. Its a bit rich when people moan about people that move here from other countries to live in Britain. Let alone the people of Scotland has to put up with them.

Well...

George II married Caroline of Ansbach, who was German.
George III married yet another German princess, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz
George IV married Caroline of Brunswick - you guessed it, a German princess (and his cousin)
William IV married Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen - guess what she was?

Queen Victoria was descended from George III. Her father, Prince Edward, married Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld. Which would make her a German princess.

Her son though, broke with tradition and married a Danish princess, as Nemowork mentioned.

Mr. E. Blackadder's opinion of Caroline of Brunswick can be seen here, at 05:19 in the video:

I said Germanic, not German and it depends how far you extend Low German and its influence.
