The EDL is probably more along the lines of interculturalism, as opposed to multi-culturalism, placing emphasis on preserving the historical identity of the area, as opposed to having grow into something entirely new.
Emphasis on tradition, rather than emphasis on change.
So... in wiki you will notice there is emphasis on preserving the french language, laws of the area, ect.
The BNP is something different, isn't it? That's a labor party to my understanding.
But I am not fluent with British politics.
YOu would probably get less that classy people latching on to each concepts, especially if they got the short end of the stick recently and were looking for a cause to grab hold of.
So, the concepts might have some merit, but they can also be perceived as highly reactionary.
BNP and EDL are probably minority groups. In the range of what? Like 1%? But it's a free country, so you will probably also find Vampire Parties, and Elf Parties too...
So long as religion and law and state, and whatever else are separate, everything should be good.
