Does anyone know a similar story in Celtic myth or legend to this?

Does anyone know any Celtic stories set in Ancient Ireland that go kind of like this: A young woman of noble or royal birth falls in love with a warrior, but her father doesn't approve. In the end, she chooses to leave the warrior though she still loves him and wed a man of noble/royal birth that her father approves of. Later on, she wishes to see her former lover again, but finds out that he has died and she becomes grief-stricken.

Do you know any stories that are like this or very similar?

Look up 'story of Deirdre and Naoise' on Google.
Part of the Ulster cycle, based around the 'Navan Fort', near Armagh.
