Maunsell Forts


When I was in Kent over the weekend, a group of us went out on a boat to see these WWII off-shore forts that were built in the Thames estuary to protect shipping lanes from German bombers. They're quite eerie now, but worth seeing if you're in the area.

I remember reading about the
Principality_of_Sealand Principality_of_Sealand
a few months ago. I never knew that these forts existed.
