I have always liked Spanish history, and I just find it fascinating what Spanish women went through. They had it a lot tougher than American women.

Yes, the origins of women's backwarness also goes back to causes from the reconquista, which are elaborate and long-winded. I do however find it interesting to see that they were one of the first women to get the vote under the radical republic. I could elaborate a little more, but I feel a little sick, and plan on going to sleep now, I might come back later, sorry abut leaving a half answered post

It's alright. But have these "trends"—that is, the roles of wife and mother and being the "ruler" of the home—extended to other civilizations?
