Who do you think are your most favorite marshals during the Napoleonic era?

Well from distant memory I seem to remember Davout was pretty much the best, although some would give that to the very under-rated Souchet, based on results. Neither of course carried the glamour of the likes of Murat and Ney, but mercifully not the stupidity either.
Lannes may get some votes, before his demise.

My favourite would probably be the aforementioned Jean Lannes.
Napoleon: "Lannes' bravery was greater than his intellect; but his intellect improved every day, endeavoring to reach a balance; I met him a pygmy, I lost him a giant." | |

Lannes is my favorite. He was bold and fearless, without being reckless. I always wonder how things might have been different if he had survived.

I think Lannes would be my favourite, after that Murat and after that Davout. However Davout was the best of all of time and I think was the only one even from all the enemy generals who could remotly compare to Napoleon.

Certainly Ney, if only for his character and nerve.
And aside from those already posted, I'd mention Grouchy too ... not as a great Marshal maybe, but still one of my favourites in terms of the OP, just for his story and the on-going debate.

I would have to give it more thought, but the ones that I recall most are:
Oudinot,
Ney ,
Davout,
Murat (probably for his flamboyant style more than military)
