which unemployment figures in the world are truthworthy?
If we look to the unemplyment figures, then there are different reasons for the decrease.
First of all, the economical situation was becoming better since 1932. They had reached the low-point. If the nazis did not had come to power in 1933 the number of unemployed had decreased as well.
Second, the nazis pimped the economy by a lot of projects, street building, house building, re-armament. But the financing rested on unsound footing or exactly financed on tick.
Third, in peace time up to 1 million germans were conscripted to the Wehrmacht or the RAD.
fourth, the nazis tried to edge women out of the jobs. As I have shown above, it was not succesful first, but later.
The imprisonement of jews and critics was not important. In 1938 only 60,000 were imprisoned in KZs, in 1939 even just 21,000. Not completely unimportant is the emigration of Jews from Germany. From 500,000 Jews, ca. 300,000 left germany till 1939, further 15,000 escaped till 1940. But I hve no figures for the unemployment among Jews.
