I just wanted to alert everyone to this really epic video showing the changing borders of Europe from 1000 AD to 2003. It's a really good way of visualising how Europe has changed over the centuries, and of watching the rise and fall of great powers (plus the music's great and watching it makes you feel a bit like God): European history time-lapse map | | |

Spanks Sir. I wish they'd put the date along with it and didn't change the countries' colours so often...

You'll pretty much have to watch it in full screen and pause to read them, though.
