European Borders Time-Lapse Video


I just wanted to alert everyone to this really epic video showing the changing borders of Europe from 1000 AD to 2003. It's a really good way of visualising how Europe has changed over the centuries, and of watching the rise and fall of great powers (plus the music's great and watching it makes you feel a bit like God):

Spanks Sir. I wish they'd put the date along with it and didn't change the countries' colours so often...

Nice video, shame the Guardian took it down so I now can't really see the date on the YouTube version though.

There is a date in the upper left corner and some comments in the lower left corner. You'll pretty much have to watch it in full screen and pause to read them, though.
