In 1945 war ended which killed up to 20 millions of inhabitants of USSR which Baltics were part of. Baltic countries themselves were one of the battlefields and front went twice through their territory in the course of war.

If you think that onely Baltic states and other countries are dependant from Russia then think twice, the all Europe are dependant from russian gas, and petrol. And the leaders of the Europe cant do anithing they just say some public means and thats all. That same situation is in military.
I dont think that the Latvia are some colony becouse we have the governant. We are small country and it is hard to survive if you cant get some leader with who get economic and politic collaboration.
What I am triing to say, that if some one are realy care about oure future we should make some ally beatween Post USSR countries. This is the onely way to save the independence. The Europe union also is like the wolf in the sheep skin. Oure interes is not important to politic of Brissel...
What can I say, now I can speak and understand lot of the setences you make, there are to many unknow definition. So it could look like that I am just child who write theese words, but for real I can say many, I just dont have the experience of English terminology...

So I would be thankfull if you could explain definition words with simply words.

Sorry, I misread you. I thought you wrote demographic, not geographic. Well Russia is largest country on Earth, it have geography like no other of course and I agree, Fins have it difficult as long as natural conditions go. However I think that is exactly reason why advances in technology and science play even larger role in your case. And by claiming that capitalism is solely responsible for relative prosperity you have compared to the past you also underestimate your own people and their abilities in my opinion. Finish people were managing their country very well under given conditions and I admire it. I do not think it is thanks to simply choosing some economic model.

Well I am certainly not suggesting to exchange one coloniser for another one. That is not purpose of this thread. What I am saying is that in 1989 we sadly exchanged one overlord over another while we were believing we are getting freedom.
