Yes, thank god for the Icelanders, they saved the Norse world and mythology, isolated from the rest of feudal Europe.

I've convinced myself that my U5b2b2 mitochondrial haplogroup/haplotype stems from Danish Vikings; either via Normandy, or possibly the Jutes in SE England.
