What "Crusaders"? Oh, you mean "Krzyżowcy" from 1960 (The Teutonic Knights) Yes, it sucks

You're right, but I don't like Hollywood and I don't like war movies

I emphasize the difference between Russians, Ukrainians and Belarusians because that's what they are - different nations with different language. You went separate ways ages ago and evolved differently.
Polish imperialism, Nazi Germany and the Bolsheviks did their best to form those "distinct" nations. Gogol revealed that the Ukrainians of the XVI century thought about themselves as being Russians. Ukrainians, Belorussians and Russian are more close than ethnic groups living in Germany and Spain. There are no doubts that the Ukrainians and Belorussians want to reunite with Russia. And if you are against it then you hate the nations.

I'm not that crazy, whatever Montage might think.
No, you're just replete of hatred toward the Eastern Slavs.

Of course, my fault.
Have you double-checked that she hated "the relentless Russian rule" and relished Mazepa?

Actually I know some Ukrainians living in my city and they definatelly dont want any kind of union with Russia, rather in opposite they want their state to remain independent and free. Good God! How much they must hate their own nation......

OK, the overwhelming majority, to be precise. Anyway, when a minuscule part of the nations goes against the majority it's very odd. Yesterday I read a leaflet of one local priest that claims that Russians have to be Orthodox, otherwise they are "rotten people". May be, your "Ukrainians" are like the priest.

Enlightening as this thread has been, I think there have been only 2 or 3 posts that actually deal with the OP.

@antonina I guess we all have problems with our neighbours.

I just read an article about a Scotsman with very intersting background. I was actually looking for info about his great-grandfather, count Nikolai Ignatyeff, but I am really glad i found this. Enjoy
