Fair skin people don` t have to work their ass over making a living, unlike much of the world. "fair skin" were seen as status symbols.

They live in subhuman living conditions at their house at night, so they had to spend the day in public bath houses. Also, alot of the romans were slaves, so they might not be in top physical conditions

What this means is that you rather be a celt, than a roman at that time. They die early, got nothing to eat, and had to live with slave wages( if at all).

(the slaves from abroad did all the work)

(Full disclosure: I'm part Scottish and I think Italian women are beautiful.)
