Historical Figures with Problems

We've all had our share of "issues," and being somewhat interested in psychology, I decided to research some well-known individuals in history that had their share of mental/social/etc. problems. Here's a few:

Mozart is speculated to have had Tourette's Syndrome.
Napoleon had an intense phobia of cats.
Freud had an intense phobia of the telephone.
Charles Dickens would only sleep if his bed was facing north and he was facing center.
Goethe could only write if he had a rotten apple core in his desk.

I remember my prof saying that Thomas Edison is afraid of the dark. Probably what led him to invent light bulbs.

Descartes stated that, for a period of his life, he was attracted to cross-eyed women.

Adolph Hitler had a problem with bad flatulence.

WS Churchill had a mild speech impediment, stuttering.

Other stutterers: Claudius, King George VI, Sir Isaac Newton, Aristotle, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Charles Darwin.

William Tecumseh Sherman alternated between great military man and complete mental breakdown during the ACW.

Let me rephrase that I guess. Adolph Hitler had bad problem with flatulence.

Fifth grade grammer is coming back to haunt me. Miss Kenedy you were correct..... I didn't amount to anything cause I can't speak well.

Nikola Tesla had to do everything in sets of threes, as well as only staying in hotel rooms that had a number divisible by three. He was also pathologically afraid of jewelry, pearl earrings in particular.

Probably because he was afraid that Tesla would be waiting for him over all of the stolen inventions.

Not to mention Joseph Swan who invented the electric light bulb and successfully sued Edison over patent infringement, none of which has stopped American's from claiming it for Edison and most of the world believing them. Here's a summary that dodges the patent case and unfortunately doesn't explain the background to Ediswan!
