USS Enterprise (CV-6) was the second of the American Yorktown class of fleet carriers. Commissioned in 1938, the Enterprise was one of only two American fleet carriers to serve from Pearl Harbor through the surrrender at Tokyo Bay. Moreover, she was the most decorated ship in the USN. She took part in the Doolittle raid, Midway, the Solomons/Guadalcanal, Truk, the Marianas, Philippine Sea, and Leyte Gulf.

Cheers to the Big E and the men who served on her!

That, for sending us into the next century with a small wedge of hatred to the admiralty for missing the way they'd made their entire Royal Navies world fleet obsolete, laid down a challenge to the Germans and the US we couldnt keep up with and the complete ignorance of the next century

RMS Queen Mary. Permanently moored in Long Beach California. I was hooked from the first time I strolled her decks.

Although a bit impractical for most activities, the Nemi ships were certainly impressive.
