In this thread you can ask simple question and expect from other members to answer them very fast. Maybe provide you some link. Answers can be short and simple but also if you know a lot about given question you can share your knowledge. If debate start to growing please be free to open new thread.
For example:
Where can we found Dravidian languges?
Is it true that first traces of agriculture we can find in Sumer?
What was the first "resurrection" in history? Osiris in Egypt or...
When Bejing was attacked by Mongols?
What is truceless war?
Purpose of this thread is to cut down on the amount of threads that pop every other minute with such basic questions, please refer new members (which Im too) to this thread in order to avoid said problem.
And ofcourse, to get simple and fast answer.
Im new here so I dont want to make some new rule or anything. Just I found myself in many situation where I would like to ask some simple question.
Then I feel stupid. I was thinking that become more like thread for history-beginners. Its good to have place to ask simple question.
Anyways, I thought this could be a good thing.

India.
Yes.
I don't know.
Yes.
"The Cold War" was a truceless war and I expect the "War on Terror" to be a truceless war as well.

... Aside of a simple "there's no way we could possibly know", of course.
On the OP; my guess is that the vast majority of thread openers here already at least pretend to post a " simple question" for the vast majority of OPs all along Historum.

What is truceless war? | Rice is believed to have been domesticated in China around 12,000 years ago.
The Mongols captured Beijing (Zhongdu) in 1234.

Why are guns allowed in the US? Even assault rifles can be owned by anybody..... what history does this 'gun culture' have?
