Besides their achievements I have always find it interesting and very enjoyable to know the personalities of historical characters. Do you know historical characters with an outspoken character then please share it with me.
I myself know a bit of my own favorite historical characters. For example how Napoleon liked to squeeze people in their cheeks or how he liked to play tag with both his servants as his wifes. How he left the table immediatly after being done eating or how he could suddenly burst into anger that was almost scary to see. How eventhough he wasn't the most hansome man of France he still was a ladiesman and was able with his charisma to win woman over to him. How he could sit still for a long time and then make a sudden movement. Or how he could suddenly burst into laughter.
Those are the things I like to know about more (wo)man in history. So please if you are specialized into historical character and you know a lot about his character please share.
PS: Also nice anekdotes are more then welcome.

Outspoken? For me, both Patton and Montgomery come to mind. Both were a nightmare for SHAEF.

Tell something about them. Not their poltical or military gains, but about their personalities.

Thomas Cochrane was a 'larger than life' figure whose career looks like something out of a 'boys own comic'.

Mark Twain was certainly very outspoken, as well as Hitler.
