This document is intended to provide a useful, up to date catalogue of useful historical websites divided into rough sections to make searching easier. The first section of the directory lists general resources, the second focuses on rough time periods, and the third lists them by country/event. Obviously, due to the nature of the resources there is bound to be some overlap. If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to contact me. If you wish to submit a link to the list, please contact me. I hope everyone finds this useful. SECTION ONE.General Resources: SECTION TWO. SECTION THREEContributors: Compiled by - Anf (Jungleplanewreck). Contributions by - diddyriddick, Diogenes, Dreamweaver, Earl Byrhtnoth, Earl_of_Rochester, FOR-EXTRACREDIT, Gary, General Michael Collins, Gile na Gile, greyter, History_Chick, leakbrewergator, Kirialax, Labienus, Lasher, Lucius, Mosin, Mr. Kapp, Nestor, OpanaPointer, Pancho35, Patito de Hule, Qymaen, Sokar Rostau.

Since I can't edit posts, the links are now going to be formatted by me and updated by diddyriddick, but obviously we don't want to make him update it every 5 minutes... So I'll only send the updates to him when there are quite a few. It will be done at some point though. A massive thanks to diddy for giving me a hand.

Thank you for posting this. I have been to a few of these websites to look for articles, but I had no idea there was so much more out there. They will come in handy for sure, since I have a few papers to write this semester.
Must have taken you a while to compile them! Nice job.

I can't believe that I missed this earlier. A massive database containing a wealth of general art and images of historical artefacts, and even just photographs. Useful for just about any historical study you can imagine. Welcome to ARTstor
