Historical Resource Directory:

This document is intended to provide a useful, up to date catalogue of useful historical websites divided into rough sections to make searching easier. The first section of the directory lists general resources, the second focuses on rough time periods, and the third lists them by country/event. Obviously, due to the nature of the resources there is bound to be some overlap. If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to contact me. If you wish to submit a link to the list, please contact me. I hope everyone finds this useful.

A nice collection, although generally inferior to Perseus: The Latin Library

A wonderful and very professional site on Constantinople: Byzantium 1200

First I would like to say you have come up with a great list.

Along with Google books, Google News can be a valuable resource when looking into historic accounts.

It's not particularly a research resource, but UCBerkley has a lot of their introductory courses online. In some cases they do go into advanced or current issues. I haven't watched the history lectures, but they are good learning resource.

As far as resources go... Google is by far the best resource, as it often connects them all. I find limiting search to .edus or .govs very very often helps me find better material.

So instead of searching, like this
