I mean this in a political view.

What region's politics affects the world the most ? Could it be America's politics ?
European politics ?

Or Middle Eastern Politics ?

Middle Eastern as it's the most tumultuous of the three and with the huge impact on the economies of Europe and the US that oil has a stable Middle East is of utmost importance.

Economics due to all the ridiculous turmoil, perhaps only just, if that? Politically however, no i don't think it is even close. The most important region in the world is still currently and politically found in North America led by the US. Trailed by Europe with the three dominant continental powers being France, Germany and the UK. Eurasia with Russia and East Asia with China.

I'm going by the OP directions the way I understand and it's clear that ME politics as it stands affects both regions due to the importance of oil and the dangers of militant Islam taking over the entire region and, let's face it the threat to Israel is of the utmost importance. Besides this both America and Europe have had very stable governments for years and I don't see that changing in the near future.
