The Spanish inquisitions last for 356 years. From 1478 to 1834. they were established especially for executing any Muslim or Jewish person refuse to convert to Christianity. Many torture’s methods were used enthusiastically by Spanish governments. Including filling stomach by water until suffocation and then death. Cutting tongues, Crashing bones by machines. Dislocating bones, dislocating jawbones, collective burning ceremonies. Now after 178 years from the end of those inquisitions, how Spanish feel about that shamed history?

Do you see history as entirely westerners doing bad things and the shining saber of the Arabs as pure and glorious?

Anyway to answer your question, I've heard the Catholic Church isn't that popular in Spain these days so I think the Spanish are pretty aware of the dark history, although a lot of that may have more to do with the Franco era.

No it's jsut you ignoring the fact that the prime victims of the Spanish Inquisition were mostly Christians themselves who didn't have 100% the same viewpoint as the inquisitors.

If someone opened a thread about Armenian Genocide Im sure that lots of people would say ''why Turks are still not accepting the truth?'', ''Turks did this genocide.'' etc...

Now I see that people opens a thread about crime of one European Nation and everyone is saying ''don't feed the troll'', ''stop being enemy of west'' etc... Is that how you guys see these topics?

Very interesting topic, I have learned new things from that topic which I didn't know.

How come no one said ''don't feed the troll'' stuff in that topic while people here are saying 'don't feed the troll'' etc., when the topic is about ''crimes of one WESTERN country''. Seriously what is this? What are you guys trying to prove?
