I can't think of any alternative historical names for my kids. We thought our little Napoleon and Ghandi were happy, but I'll ask my wife Cleopatra.

I would name mine Robert after R.E Lee haha. Alsoo Leo for Da Vinci. I raise chickens and as a joke I call them: Jefferson, Abe Lincoln, Obama

I too would consider naming my children after famous painters. I'm particularly fond of Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, Michaelangelo di Lodovico Buonarotti Simoni, Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino and Donatello di Niccolo di Betto Bardi.
