Jesus doesn't count.
Mine is of course Genghis Khan, as you can see from my sig and AV. I like him simply for his badassery, leadership, bravery, and battle skills. Plus he slept with more women than any man in history.

hmm...interested in knowing why Jesus doesn't count. Is he not a historical figure?

Elizabeth I of England.
She played a machiavellian game of politics for decades, held a firm grip on her aristocracy, was as tolerant as she possibly could be in an era of religious turmoil and slaughter, expanded Britain's sea power, brought peace to an exhausted country and actually brought England into the black financially.
All 500 years ago when women were "belongings" and considered baby-machines without brains. And she did it with very little help too.
