I'm nearly finished with it. All it does, is give the basic rundown of different philosophies and how they relate to other, earlier, philosophies with a little dry humor mixed in. Mannion also dedicates an entire chapter to the three Abrahamic religions along with discussing the Reformation, the Enlightenment, etc. Overall it's a pretty good book for beginners in the area of Philosophy.
Some philosophies that were discussed:
Epicureanism
Sophism
Presocratic Philosophy
Aristotelian
Platonic
Socratic
Early Christian Church's Philosophy
Machiavellian
Hobbes
Locke
German Idealism
Freudian
Nietzschean
Utilitarianism
Existentialism
Humanism
Stoicism
Eastern Religions (Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucian, Taoism, Shinto, Sufi)
Native American and African
Astrology
Star Trek
