Churchill's Second World War Set

Hello all,

I was able to pick up the six volume set at Half Price Books for $40 on Black Friday. Has anyone read the entire set? I am looking forward to getting started!

If you have read it, what are your opinions on it compared to other works about WWII?

Never Before in Human History has One Man been so Fond of Quoting himself so Often , and At Such Great Length.

Simply do not find anything particularly enlightening ion his writing of history of ww2. I though he was there surely he'll have an decent perspective. I was mistaken. Found it pedestrian, with no real insight that made it useful.

After you read Churchill's books, you should also read Field Marshal Brooke's books as well.

Be warned, some of Churchill's numbers are off, his books were written before later analysis corrected some errors. (There were only 60 German aircraft shot down on "Battle of Britain day ", not 180)

Yes I have. It was recommended to me as a model of management practices and I read it as such: How Churchill et al managed the great enterprise of a world war. Viewed from that perspective, it is quite useful.
