The original suggestion was to read fiction. To be fair, most of our selections have had an historical aspect (Voltaire, More, Machiavelli ... Erasmus and Poe coming soon) and we usually manage to contextualize the books within their own worlds.

Don't forget The Crucible. That will theoretically link two eras of the history of the United States.

There hasn't been any interest outwith a small number of contributers. So we're planning to let it sit for a while. Maybe at some point we can continue!?!
