A good book on Finnish History/Russian-Finnish relations?

Either will do. The intitial interest came from a discussion on social media, during which someone stated that "non-Russians" (specifically Poles and Finns) were not taken into Imperial Russian army. Cursory browsing of the Wikipedia showed that the situation was far more complicated than what my opponent had said. Now I would simply like to read a comprehensive story of Finland, where the Great Wrath, the conquest by Russia, and the life in Finland as part of imperial Russia would be presented in a good way. Perhaps a good book on Finnish history would work better.
Thanks in advance.

It seems there are very few books in English.

Henrik Meinander: History of Finland
David Kirby: a concise history of Finland.

Meinander has more about culture and art etc. when Kirby is more political history. Both of course, don't have too much on 19th century.

The Library of Congress has a very comprehensive book about Finland. The whole thing isn't just about the history but also culture and society, I would recommend this.
