I received the book as a Christmas present, and I suspect that the book will be partisan merely from the Title Truman Vs. Macarthur

I don't believe we can read so much into the title? It was Truman & the JCs vs DM on Asia policy. DM thought it was his place to determine Global policy.

What I am curious to know, does Brands ref the decrips DM sent to foreign leaders?
