I'm four years into a history of the "Space Race," from WWII through the end of the Apollo program. There's plenty out there about the US space program, and more coming out about the Soviet space program, and attempts to reach the moon. Korolev is a great source, and the David Scott / Alexei Leonov joint book Two Sides of the Moon is also pretty good. Although light on the geopolitics.

It's for myself; I've no illusions of publishing it. It contains, in fact, a great deal of plagerism. Okay as long as it's for me; unacceptable to publish.

Yes it does but well am I too old or you're too young? And as I look down and see the ring well,we'll just let that sit there.
And thats as far as the curiosity goes these days

I've written (or rather, made them up in my mind) many WW2 Stories, most based around the Battle Of Crete.

I've just finished a 6,875-word short story set in predynastic Egypt around 4000 BC. Right now it's being reviewed by my favorite novelist, Charles R. Saunders, and I'm hoping to get it published someday!

I am writing a book on a whos who in the time of Richard III I know it has been done plenty of times but the subject has so much conflicting material. I met someone who said it took him ten years to complete a whos who in the War of the Roses. I am rather hoping my book is not going to take that long.

Presently researching for an article I want to write on the aspirations of Renaissance era esotericists to recover the Adamic language that was, as they saw it, either lost or greatly degraded after man's fall from grace and expulsion from Eden.
Many of them, most prominently John Dee, viewed the regaining of this ability to name the essential qualities of all natural things - as a gift of God - as the key to personal and collective salvation.
They wanted to "rescue the Word," and through it rescue the entire book of nature as written by the Almighty.
Want to tie it in with the modern discipline of semiotics as there are many parallels between what these old-time occultists were attempting to do and actual empirical investigation of signification in nature.

I just have notes at the moment, many more books to read before doing rough drafts.

I've been writing a screenplay about Jack the Ripper. It's something totally new, concept wise but my progress is slow. The dialogue is taxing. I would rather write up a treatment and let someone else tackle the dialogue, but alas!

Man gave names to all the animals
In the beginning, in the beginning
Man gave names to all the animals
In the beginning long time ago
....He saw an animal smooth as glass
Slithering his way through the grass
Saw him disappear by a tree near a lake...
-Bob Dylan
