I am reading King Leopold's Ghost by Adam Hochschild. Leopold had an awesome beard but according to this book his policies in Kongo were not that applaudable...

Another history book I have been reading for 3-4 weeks already is Peter Longerich's Heinrich Himmler: A life. It is almost comical to read how that guy was really intricately interested in minute and mundane details of his men's lives. And his rants of how almost every historical figure he didn't like was a jew or Bolshevik, oh boy. I guess for him Jesus was a Bolshevik too.

I have been waiting to read this for a LONG time! If there was ANY doubt about the toughness of TR, you should read some of this... absolutely insane how he survived on a daily basis with what he went through.

I'm starting The Humans who Went Extinct, about why Neanderthals perished and we humble Sapiens survive.
