Haven't read it but I've had my eye on it - it gets very positive reviews and ratings on Goodreads.

Haven't read this one but did read her Temples, Tombs and Hieroglyphs: A Popular History of Ancient Egypt. She has a very breezy, humorous style and doesn't get bogged down in academic wrangling. So I can recommend that one, at least.
