Yes I hope it dose get made. I think they could make a couple of series based on Helen Hollicks The Hollow Crown and then follow it with Harold the King. What I love about these books are that they are a clever weave of fiction and hard historical fact. Its a shame that the big bucks movie a TV producers as yet haven't taken any notice.

Btw, these have been rereleased as "Forever Queen" and "I Am the Chosen King", the latter of which is a poor title in my opinion. But yes, I wish producers would take more notice of lesser know history.

I've just watched the French/Romanian production from 1982 William the conquer. It had no English sub-titles so I had to get out the trusty how to speak French book. The film was fun in a crappy way. But very Historically in-accurate. The Saxon shield wall was hilarious. Still John Terry was quite good as Harold.
