Beer saved the world - From the "also not history" channel

You know.... I don't have a problem with these channels making informative documentaries exploring how beer contributed to the world, for example.

But I really... You know. I have a problem when people say things like "Beer established modern healthcare" as a blanket statement with no nuance whatsoever.

I hate you, discovery channel.

Seems like an authoritative historical revelation to me. I'm drinking a beer in honor of that great civilizing influence, beer, right now.

From the sound of the voice over, I initially thought it was satire.

Then I watched it and concluded it was a indeed a satire,or perhaps simply commissioned by the beer industry.

There have been many great inventions and discoveries. However, I can think of no single invention/discovery which provided a butterfly effect for humanity, with the possible exception of fire.
