Bloooooooooody, and they revealed that Doctore is Oenomaus which is what I figured, even if he was a Gaul in history. Overall, good episode; waiting for next season.

Xena was stabbed in the belly by Crixus, killing the baby at the same time. Was deserved, I guess.

The star of the show, Andy Whitfield, has official quit the series due to the return of his cancer. There will be a 6 episode prequel called Blood and Sand, after which, it is anybody's guess.
Hope Mr. Whitfield successfully beats his illness.

I've seen the whole series and loved it. Only one season is to be made, the actor playing Spartacus has cancer of some kind..
For me,the star is John Hanna as Batiatus, perhaps the most ruthless screen character in recent years.A moral man in his own way,I found him a sympathetic character, even whilst appalled at some of his behaviour.
In Rome,Caesar was portrayed pretty much the ruthless politician I've always thought. My favourite character was the honest but simple legionaire, Titus Pullo.
I didn't look at either series as history, just entertainment, like a cartoon. -and certainly not as pornographic as say "The Passion Of The Christ"

Reminds me of the NBA commercials. Oh the glory of the professional athlete's life!
Well, it may not be very historically accurate, but it certainly looks entertaining.
